Trimix, Bimix, and Quadmix Injections for ED

Town & Country Compounding specializes in addressing men's sexual health issues

Our accreditations place us in the top 1% of compounding pharmacies

Tri-Mix, Bi-Mix, & Quad-Mix Injectables

We commonly compound penile injections for those men who need or prefer other options. These injections are often called tri-mix, bi-mix or quad-mix

Trimix is an injectable three-drug prescribed medication used to address erectile dysfunction. The active ingredients in the mixture are usually alprostadil, papaverine, and phentolamine. Quad-mix adds one extra drug, atropine.

You will be counseled on the best way to store your medications because they may be temperature sensitive. Some may be frozen and some may be refrigerated.

Men may also complain of lack of desire, which we can also help with. Supplements can often help with libido or sex drive. Testosterone is a factor that will not necessarily correct ED but can help with the “want to” or desire.

Low Testosterone (Low-T) in Men

For the majority of men, testosterone decline with age. Signs and symptoms of Low Testosterone or Low T may include:

  • Weakness
  • Fatigue
  • Osteoporosis
  • Heart Disease
  • Atherosclerosis
  • Irritability
  • Depression, anxiety
  • Metabolic syndrome
  • Slow wound healing
  • Premature Ejaculation
  • Reduced Libido
  • Erectile dysfunction (ED)
  • Prostate problems
  • Low sperm counts
  • Reduced muscle mass
  • Disturbed sleep
  • Insomnia
  • Impaired blood cell formation
  • Reduced cognitive function

You may be diagnosed with Low T if you have the symptoms or conditions stated above, but this should be confirmed by lab tests.

ED is a common problem, affecting 5-20% of men. ED is one of the most common sexual dysfunctions, and may affect up to 52% of men between the ages of 40 and 70.

While it can affect men of any age, older men have higher risk of getting ED. Studies indicate that men at age 75 only have about two thirds of the serum testosterone they had at age 25. About half of men older than 80 years old and 20% of men older than 60 have low serum testosterone concentrations.

At Town & Country Compounding Pharmacy, we care for many male patients who have experienced erectile dysfunction or sexual dysfunction. The basic way to describe erectile dysfunction is an erection that is just not suiting your needs, it doesn’t have to be a complete failure to be classified as a dysfunction. Examples of problems may be that the erection is not firm enough or maybe it doesn’t last long enough.

Premature ejaculation is a common sexual complaint. Estimates vary, but as many as 1 out of 3 men say they experience this problem at some time.

As long as it happens infrequently, it’s not cause for concern. However, you might be diagnosed with premature ejaculation if you:

  • Always or nearly always ejaculate within one minute of penetration
  • Are unable to delay ejaculation during intercourse all or nearly all of the time
  • Feel distressed and frustrated, and tend to avoid sexual intimacy as a result
