Mayo Clinic’s description of female sexual dysfunction (source)
Persistent, recurrent problems with sexual response, desire, orgasm or pain— that distress you or strain your relationship with your partner— are known as sexual dysfunction. Female sexual dysfunction can occur at any stage of life. It can occur only in certain sexual situations or in all sexual situations, and may occur throughout one’s life.
Sexual response is not just about attractiveness or love or attentiveness. It is complex and mixes physiology, emotions, experiences, beliefs, lifestyle and relationships. When any of those components is disrupted, it can affect sexual desire, arousal, and satisfaction.
At Town & Country Compounding, we work with the patient and the practitioner to offer other options for patients.

According to a review of studies, female sexual dysfunction (FSD) is a significant public health problem that affects 41% of premenopausal women around the globe. Because FSD is considered a private topic, you may be reluctant to seek help. However, in recent years, women have been creating communities where they can openly talk about FSD without feeling uncomfortable.
If you’ve come across these spaces, you might have heard of “Dream Cream,” “Scream Cream,” “Yell Gel,” or “Big-O Gel.” These names commonly refer to custom prescriptions of compounded creams made to support women experiencing symptoms of FSD.
