Sending prescriptions to
Town & Country Compounding

It’s easy for licensed practitioners to prescribe medications for patients using Town & Country Compounding.

Why would a compounded prescription be needed by a patient?

Certain drugs, combination of drugs, concentration of the drugs, or specific dosage forms that the patient needs may not be commercially available at a traditional retail pharmacy or may not be providing desired results.
Some patients may need custom medications free of allergens, custom flavoring and specific strengths.

What is compounding?

Non-Sterile Compounding

Non-sterile compounding medications include pills, liquids, gels, lotions, ointments, creams, shampoos, lip balms, and more.

Non-sterile compounding is the most common, and while these drugs are not prepared in an entirely sterile room, ingredients’ purity is preserved with precise mixing, packaging, and labeling.

Custom dosage, flavoring, form and more can benefit compliance, absorption, and more.

Sterile Compounding

A sterile compounding pharmacy is one in which pharmacists and certified technicians prepare specialized medications in an environment that is free from bacteria, viruses, fungi and any other organisms that could cause infection.

Sterile medications may be in the form of ophthalmic drops (eye drops), infusions, injections (IV Intravenous, IM intramuscular, SQ (subcutaneous) or irrigations containing medications to be used inside the eyes, lungs, veins, spine, muscle or bladder.

Why it’s important to choose the right compounding pharmacy

Where you get your medicine compounded makes a big difference in your health outcome.

Not all pharmacies uphold the same standards.

Unlike a drug you get at a commercial pharmacy that will have the same quality no matter where you buy it, the effectiveness of compounded medicine can vary widely from pharmacy to pharmacy.  Town & Country Compounding makes customized medicine to the highest standards.
